I'm wishing to remove the transverse torsion rod tube beneath the hood which connects to the two folding hood braces. It appears to be held in place by two 10mm screws at each end. It looks to be a simple remove and replace, but I thought I'd double check to be sure. Anyone removed this piece?

Thanks,
Jim

While I think the e9 is one of the best looking cars ever made I think the e3 is one of the "best" cars ever made. I have owned a few of them over the years- they have always been the most affordable BMW and extremely satisfying to work on IMO

You have a lot of nice goodies under that hood. Huge aluminum radiator and coil packs as well as the ITB's . Good job. Did you do this work yourself?
