Hood Release Cable Sleeve

I am looking for a source that sells the cable sleeve for the hood release bowden cable.

What I have been able to deduce is that it is very similar to a "liquid tight flexible metal conduit." However, I can not find any vendors that sell it with the correct I.D. and O.D.

Anyone seen a similar product being sold online? Any info would be appreciative!

I am open to alternatives!

Bowden cables have been used for many applications, including bikes (above) and motorcycles, boats, aircraft, lawn maintenance equipment, etc. etc. I would not be surprised if you found a motorcycle repair shop that had something in the spare parts bin that might work for you.

Garden drip system tubing but it has a 1/4" ID or as Stphrs said, a bicycle store. Many options. A hose making shop or tube supplier if you have one in your area. Just google it and see what comes up

It's done!. I used the section of the flexible steel wire/bar and it had retained it's curvature. Putting this through the hole at the bottom and going 'fishing' saw it eventually poke out of the top orifice. Then I threaded the 2mm conduit/sheath over this so it was protruding from both holes, withdrew the original cable section and threaded the new cable through the conduit.

It is not without frustration and the simplicity of the explanation does not do the complexity, nor my colourful language, justice.
