I need to check the right part number for the fuel pick up for converting to the fully in tank fuel pump. I ordered the wrong one initially, with one of the two hard fuel lines smaller than the other.

There are several identical looking part numbers across the years of the E30, but from other threads it looks like I need 16141180233. Can someone confirm that's the correct part number and has the same size hard lines for feed and return? Is this exclusively from a 1990-91 E30 318is?

I’ll have to reconsider whether I can use the one I have (16141179415 from ‘84 318i ) using rubber hose instead of pipe extension

Using a single section of 8x13 fuel line to extend the pump further into the tank is a great way to meet your local tow truck driver. Over time the effect of braking and acceleration makes the pump into a pendulum and it eventually tears itself loose.
