I'm installing speedo drive into a Getrag 5 speed tranny which required the installation of a worm gear on the output shaft as well. My question is about the re-installation of the splined output flange and nut that secures the flange:
Should I use a sealant or thread locker on the splines as well retaining nut?
If so what sealant?
What is the torque spec for this retaining nut?
I've gone through various threads on the subject but could not find the answers I was looking for.
