"Spaansport" has got an intercooler on ebay, claims from a factory turbo six series... So I messaged them, questioning this item, cuz I hadn't heard of factory turbos other than the 745i and 2002tii. They replied ...
"For you authorities out there, in Germany it was a very common conversion to place the 106 type motor ( if you know what that is) into the e-24 body style. The intercooler was made by LANGERE & REICH. If you do some research you will find part number 3.7098.2.11.

Well, that may be so, but I'm checking... anyone heard of this before? Eight digits doesn't fit the 11-digit BMW numbering scheme AFAIK...?
