This popped up on ig. Never heard the story before. Sounds like a very interesting car that's getting restored. Anyone know anything about it?

Lol, more like steering wheel nerd, but thanks! I am super curious about its history even just as a fan of CSL’s. The new owner did say it sported an ATI2 Motorsport wheel, but I imagine he meant ATI-3

a month or so ago, i did a search for as many of the bat2's as i could find some references to. this adds to that list, really glad to hear that it will be brought back to the living.
still looking for info on the whereabouts / existence of 001, 003 and 005, 009, 013, 015, 017 thru 021, 023, 025, 026, 029, 032, 034, 035, 037, 039 thru 041, 047, 048, 051 thru 053, 055 + 056. so for 29 out of 57 there is no information that i could find. if anybody knows anything about these cars or whether they are still here, please drop me a line.

actually Chris, all the ones of the Bat2 on lezebre are on my list. the only one i listed was 055, because the info is very minimal and is about 10 years old.

Damn. That is a really amazing car.
Bob Lutz must not have cared too much for it if he casually let the babysitter use it to go pick up the kids though...

This being said, the little munchkins must have instantly been anointed the coolest kids on the playground when the others saw their ride...
