Extended white leather interior
Well the new Z4 hardtop convertible has an extended ivory white special leather interior option for $2000 extra compared to the $850 for regular leather or just over a thousand for other extended leather. Maybe the extra $$ is for the matching belt and shoes.
There must be some attraction to some folks for white interiors. The e24 M6 had a disproportionate number of white interiors - in fact it might be the most common interior color (only came in red, blue, or black exterior). I had to look hard to find one without white.
When I first met my wife she was driving a 1968 Firebird 400 convertible - red with white interior - I must say she looked great in it, but I learned then the white interior was not very practical for anyone keeping their car for more than a few years - let alone 35+.
And no I didn't keep the Firebird - sort of wish I did (although it had a slushbox and got about 5 mpg).
