there are some nice things about buying a '74 - fixing the bumpers isn't one of them. buying a euro '74 is a great idea as you get all of the little fixes without the big bumpers or the trunk braces. with the trunk braces (for the rear bumper) you have a different gas tank, different floor boards (smaller), different tank filler and different wheel well covers (these are unobtanium if you need them) ...

having the blinker stalk on the left side is a great thing, the extending steering wheel is nice and so is the one piece carpet (if its in good shape).

i say that about a euro '74, not the US version. there are too many parts on the US version that you can't buy ... and you can for all the other coupes ... so no, i don't think i share your enthusiasm about '74 US coupes.

for example, lets say you have rust on the trunk floor - good luck in finding a new replacement panel around the '74 US gas tank. finding a '74 US gas tank is almost as much fun.

Nice looking car. Appears to be solid at first glance.
