Just bought a stock air cleaner for my 71 2800cs. I'm told it isn't the correct color. Can anyone give me a link to a spray can of the correct color or a brand and color id for a spray can?

RAL 7043 is a pretty close match for a carb air cleaner which most powder coating shops should have. I haven’t found a spray can color that matches but I prefer powdercoating these for durability.
You could also take that paint code to an automotive paint store and have them mix it and put it in an aerosol can, although, it would be best to use a two part paint. Base color with hardener.

If not Ford Gray is really close. You can find it in spray can at most auto parts stores.
Mine had a portion of the original color and the guys at the automotive paint supply I use, mixed up a 2k can to match. Think it was about 25 bucks to do so.

The stock air cleaner color is not going to win any rewards for beauty, at least to my taste. I am surprised very few people depart from the color.
The dark green version is more attractive than the grey imho
Steve, Whenever you say dark green I can’t picture it. The grey definitely has green in it, the light grey covers are wrong, but green? Please post another pic whenever you get a chance.
Perhaps I should say olive green, similar to the subframe color, defintiely not grey:
What sheen level are we talking? My Perfect Color has 5, from flat to gloss. Same question for black/brass radiator overflow. Same? Thanks!
