I have mentioned this topic before but did not receive any definitive information so I will try again; like many of us I search craigslist looking for local e9's that can be stripped of valuable parts and I came across a guy with 2 1985 535's, one complete and one in parts for about 500.00. Is there any value to picking these up at that price as it relates to the e9's or are there any specifics that I should look for- or is it just not worth it. Any help would be appreciated.

if they have manual trannies ... then there is some potential values. but i don't know when BMW changed the odo / speedo drive to the rear end (electronic - in lieu of cable).

it also depends on if they have sport seats (recaro) and red screwdrivers.
