Just a word of waning. I was Hacked by three sellers on Facebook because all three of the sellers asked to use " family and friends ".
Turns out that by entering "family and friends " you can not get any help from PayPal. So do not get caught up in his hack.

A really unfortunately common occurrence.

Genuine sellers can help reduce the success of scammers by also accepting people paying securely if they prefer.

Unfortunately too often genuine sellers also insist on f+f payments only, normalising it for unsuspecting buyers..

I always say: please PayPal as friends, or pay the fee on top if you prefer to pay securely.

Secure payment fee is about 3%, + 1.5% for international currencies.

Meaning for €100 sale, the buyer would have to send €104.5 for me to get about 100€.

It’s not always exactly to the dollar especially with larger amounts but you can always send a few dollars as friends to correct any differences in the final transfer amount.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Watch out for unassuming/obscure scams too! Its not always big ticket items like Petri steering wheels, I once got done for a fucking €20 e9 interior light..

I was trying to refund from private seller via PayPal.

In some cases it was not possible as appeared they are not from eBay or other store and they are private.
For some it worked.
Also on eBay I was refused which was shock for me.
The fees PayPal is charging depends on Country you are from. For Central Europe or e.g. Cyprus it is much higher than for DE or US. Life...

What do you mean when you say you were hacked? Are you saying sellers were able to obtain money from your paypal account without your authorization?
