I have done a search on this and have not come across an answer to a specific question. Is Mobil 1 synthetic ATF suitable for use for the E9 power steering?
The list for power steering fluids for the E9 has mainly Dexron type ATF. Mobil 1 ATF is supposed to meet the requirements of Dexron and Mercon ATF. I already use Mobile 1 ATF in my 4WD Ford Ranger 5 spd manual and transfer case and another car that has an automatic. It would make it much easier to just use Mobil 1 ATF in my 2800CS power steering also. Does anyone know a reason why I should not?
