Just got this back rom the polisher. Beautiful. Not sure how to keep it shiny. Checked with a painter who told me that 2k or 4k clear coat would not work..not sure why.
Do not want to continually wax and polish, any suggestions. Thanks

Try some stuff called Everbrite I use it on aluminum trim that I have stripped the anodizing off and polished the trim It holds the shine very very well Tried it on some of the brass electrical sending units that I have polished up and they still hold a shine even after being in the engine comp.

I Googled "high temperature clear coat" and found lots of products that have a clear glossy finish and can handle the high temperature.

It seems like clear coat in direct sun would get as hot or hotter than being in an engine compartment, even on cooling system components. Maybe they were concerned with it being on copper.

Aren't some tanks painted already?
