Guys, have just had the rust repair shop on the phone. It appears that while doing the final stages of door work, they have discovered some rust at the top of the door ,and specifically, inside top door skin lip (that the chrome moulding covers ...if that makes sense ?) . They will try and treat/repair without removing the glass as it is not very bad ( yes, I know , all rust is very bad ), however, assuming a worst case scenario, what's the best strategy to give better access ?Unfortunately, I'm flying blind a bit and can only go by photos on the Forum but it looks as if the glass is secured by bolts attached to the window regulator ...so is it simply a case of just undoing the bolts to remove the glass ?...or is there something more sinister that needs to be addressed ? Presumably this process needs to be fairly straightforward given the need to replace say a broken window ? The car is a '74 csi and I don't believe access to window "guts " is as easy as earlier models ( but I'm probably wrong ...as my wife constantly reminds me
Hope someone can assist , Cheers, Simon
