How do I remove the top cap area of the rear interior quarter panel? My metal strip is mangled and I'd like to get a new piece to replace it. The highlighted image isn't my car, but the white outline shows what I'm trying to remove.

And, any idea if the metal piece is sold alone or if it's part of the black trim in the photo?

Thanks.

You need to remove the panel, pops off with plugs, before the wood trim. The wood trim has 2 tabs that have a screw under the panel. when screws are removed the part slides upward to come off.

i probably have a very nice panel with metal + black vinyl ... probably also has decent wood ... but you will want to keep your own wood so it matches. if you are interested, i can take some pics tonight.

to remove the rear panel you need a plastic pry bar to pop the sides away from the body!
start from the front. There are NO plugs in the top portion of the panel, just mount screws.
