Rusty Rotors...

Hey Guys

I have had this discussion with several friends before, and just sent some rusty rotors to someone on this list. Rust does not mean a rotor needs to be turned! If a rotor has grooves from the pads being run too long yes, but rust will simply come off the first time you run the brakes. Take a piece of steel or cast iron and heat it in a fire and then leave it outside and see how long it takes to get rusty. The function of brakes is to turn energy into heat and the rotor is the heat sink, if not used every day they will rust!

Especially with todays hard as hell pad compounds they will clean the rotors in one good trip around town...
