Are the splines on the E9 steering shaft fine or coarse ??

I recall they are coarse. Annoying when unable to get the steering wheel perfectly aligned with forward direction by removing and rotating it. Either angle is off.
If you mean on the shaft between the column and the box - on my car they are fine.
Oh, my bad, I interpreted it as the steering wheel spline.
