Well I do not see any story posted yet, just marketing stuff using traditional clothing store techniques. I would not be surprised a line of T-shirts is announced next by the seller.
Anyway, I am not one to wait for stories so here is my version:
1) Quantum Click - This Quantum theme plays on the well known dichotomy between the wave vs. particle nature of light. The headlights and the interior are illuminated by the same wavelength color, yet the headlights show dispersion even though the light emanates through a reflector, and the cabin light fills the entire cabin even though it emanates from the lowly ignition key prizm. Brilliant. What does it have to do with BMWs?
That is where the CLICK comes in, the guy wants to sell you stuff, and you buy by CLICKing a transaction on Paypal.
2) Typical Revolution - Every good marketing campaign resorts to female associations especially on a male dominated demographic. The female imagery is three distinct yet similar cars being approached from behind, with the mysterious connotations of not yet having seen the beauty associated with their faces. Revolution is when they turn around (revolution is a misnomer because it would be 360 degrees not 180), so we pick one and own it. Going from WANT to OWN is precisely the act of buying through a CLICK. It could be worse, a more decadent marketing campaign could have said "To want three, to own three".
3) Well traveled so are you - Ah, the inescapable technique of flattering the buyer as to lower his defenses and convince him that he deserves to reward himself. This one can be a double edged move, because if we are so well traveled we would not fall for all this subtle marketing in disguise.
Stay tuned for the shirts now.
