I thought I had started a resto thread on my CSi but can't find it.

the car has had extensive metal repairs and should really have just been a parts car which was it was bought for originally however I couldn't bring myself to cut it up as a donor for my CSL.

the car was bought from the UK and was sold as a resto project but it was far worse than expected. it was fitted with a factory electric sunroof so it needed to be saved.

I have just started refitting the interior after the headliner was installed. got to get clips for the door cards, does anyone know the correct ones.

I will now need to order all the rubber seals and assume wallothnesch is the place to go, any other suggestions.

the original non matching engine was no good so I have sourced a 3.5 and got a 5 speed coming soon

Its been a while since my last post as I have been concentrating on finishing a few other cars but now back on this. front and rear screens about to go back in after the trim surrounds come back from polishing. I am about to install the 3.5 motor and 5 speed but want to refurb the hoses and lines on motor before it goes back in.

Can anyone tell me where I can get these fuel lines replaced as they are somewhat cracked

3.5 with L jet? That would be an M90. Great motor in an e9.
yes I was lucky to buy 2 some years ago. the other engine seems to have been modified now running triple webers and has an external cooler. that will be going in my CSL

Which paint manufacturer? Looks like Glasurit which is what I used, pops much more than PPG.

The original type fittings are fine but hard to remove without destroying the hose. Is your Getrag a dogleg or o/d? I have an o/d box paired with a 3.25 diff great cruising but a bit tall overall to make the most of the m90

so I use clamps on the hose as opposed to whatever the current fittings are
You can get all the correct high pressure FI rubber hose and 'fuel line clamps' or 'solid band hose clamps' from Super Cheap Auto in Melb. Also I tend to go through once or twice a year to tighten every clamp I can see in my engine bay as a precaution to ensure I dont have a fire. It's amazing how these clamps do get slightly loose over time.

I wonder is your E9 being restored at Healey Factory as I saw one there couple of years ago? (although they said it was a CSL). They do great work.
