While I was repairing a tool tray and my wife was asked why not make something that would not only cover-up the broken and cracked parts, but also make them stronger. So I said "you come up with it ". The next day she showed me what she came up with and now I'm showing you and taking orders. $15 dollars for a repair set which includes :
1 : Two of the long narrow piece that will be glued onto the rear part of the tray that attaches to the trunk lid at the hinge area.
2 : Two triangular pieces that would be glued to the tabs on the bottom center of the tray.
3 : One tube of Super Glue.
You will have two choices for the corners, either Chrome Vinyl Covered, or Walnut Stainable Veneer.
Place your orders now and should receive them within a week.

The '74 I had came with metal triangular reinforcements like these. I painted them with the SEP grey to match the vinyl. They looked fine and did the job of keeping the tray in place very well.
