I am thinning out my collection of tools, these are correct for coupe and e3. Includes large and small pliers, large and small tube sockets with large pin, 3 open end and 3 closed end wrenches and both of the very hard to find red screwdrivers. These are in very good to excellent condition but there may be a blemish or two but not noticeable. I always post prices, I think it is only fair way to treat our members, asking $290 plus shipping. Send me a Conversation if interested.

Any willingness to sell individually? I may need one of the pliers, and maybe a box wrench.

Chris:

I don't need the whole set, but I would like a correct big pliers for my '71 2800CS, in case you have an extra. I think I recall you discussing in the past that there were several versions of these pliers used over the years, with slight differences. The one that I have now seems too big for the tool box. It does not fold up far enough so it sticks up what seems like too far in the toolkit. Appreciate any advice and leads. Thanks.

I don’t have any more but this is the early large plier with the smoother handle, not the later alligator ribs as I call them which is the 300. The 300 was made for years apparently and I had one without the embossed 300 too.

Chris or Bert:

Have either of you compared these 2 types side by side, to know if one folds more compactly?

And in unrelated news...drum roll please...I secured a good OEM gasket for the trunk roundel this week, so I'll quit bugging everyone about it.

My modeler was supposed to deliver
my updated file for the roundel gasket today. If your gasket is round it won’t fit. It needs to be egg shaped. I have yet to see a factory one that was shaped appropriately.
