I am trying to reinstall the pad that goes under the steering wheel. I can see where the screw next to the firewall goes into the clip-nut.
There is a bracket for a screw to go into the side of the console above the gas pedal.
There is a bracket riveted to the panel above and to the right of the rear defoger switch that has a clip nut on it. I have no idea what that attaches to. There is a damaged spot on the console near this bracket.
I can see how the screw and plastic top-hat go through the bracket riveted to the pad and into a bracket spot welded to the bottom of the dash. The bracket on the rear left of the pad and the bracket on the dash are out of alignment by about 1.5 inches.
The car got mangled when it was stolen so I am not sure what is OK and what is bent.
Can someone describe the pad mounting?
