Upcoming SoCal Vintage BMW Drive Events - Angeles Crest BBQ

Drivers!

OK, we're coming into the final turn of drive events to the SoCal Vintage BMW Meet in October! First up is one of our faves....the Angeles Crest Run and BBQ on Saturday August 29. This event is FREE if you register (or have registered) for the October Meet before the Drive/BBQ, as a thank you for your participation. Otherwise there will be a $10 donation. Register and come hit the mountain roads with us.....everyone loved this one last year (when we weren't lost!) I promise we'll not get separated! You must register for the Meet or drop us a line pledging the $10, as details on the event will be sent out via email list and not posted to the general public. Photos below from last year's drive are below.

On Saturday, September 12 we will join up with the LA chapter of the BMW CCA and head down to Cars & Coffee in Irvine to participate in their (mostly) Annual Chili-Cook off and Clean Car Contest. As with all C&C events, get there early (by 7AM) to assure yourself a decent parking spot.
Cost for this event is $10/person, but you'll receive a full refund if you bring a pot of chili for competition.

Angeles Crest Drive and BBQ - This Saturday - August 29

To those of you who have not yet registered for the SoCal Vintage BMW Meet in October, you are entitled to join us on next week's Angeles Crest Drive and BBQ free of charge if you register. Of course you don't have to register and can pay the $10/person donation, but its so much easier to register for the Meet!

We should be starting up the mountain as soon after 8:30 as possible, going all the way to Mill Creek Summit, back around to Angeles Crest and then BBQ......

If you can make it, please drop a note and let us know, so we have a proper count for food. See you guys next week,

From the feedback I've gotten, I'm under the impression that there are a bunch more of you that are planning to attend, but haven't confirmed as yet. Please let us know as soon as you can if you are coming to the drive/bbq, so we know how much food to have. We will meet at about 8:15-8:30, and leaving as soon as after that, so please be on time.

If you haven't already done so, please either go to the socalvintagebmw.com website and register for the October meet, and drop an email letting us know you're coming Saturday. If you can't yet commit to October and want to come this weekend, drop a note and let us know, and bring $10/person for food,, and we'll provide details in the reply. I promise to keep the drivers meeting short!
