I cant seem to find the gasket that goes between the manifold and the top of the engine pipe.
Perhaps this is a RHD thing but also doesn't jump out at me on Jaymic or W&N.

No mate.
I have the cast iron ring that goes between the two manifold sections. This is the heat gasket that goes on the end of the manifold where it joins the engine pipe. It has two
outlets. You can see the flange below.

i thought that was the gasket that member Wally Siswadji identified for you the other day? ....to confirm, go onto realoem and plug in my vin 4350181 which will largely differentiate between parts for LHD/RHD cars ( LHD part numbers will not appear ...generally ) . Get the part number and then plug it into the W&N part search and hopefully something comes up ...otherwise do the Google thing.

That looks like a 2002 gasket for sure but the e9 LHD doesn’t use that as the down pipes are separate. Will it fit a RHD coupe?

Let me know if you can't find anything local to you

In my car I have fitted the equivalent part from an E24/28, etc. 18111245500

I don't know if they are fully interchangeable, but it fits and works just fine. Fitted the later part as I had a small blow with the earlier part, likely due to my poor fitting

Hi Wes
Walloth don't seem to show them on the E9 page, we buy them from them but its under this part number A18111728363 relating to the 5 series model.

Fitted one only last week on a RHD CSL.
Hope this helps

That's a big help mate. They also look the same on the 2002 page. No idea if they fit and haven't compared part numbers. Didn't think I'd be the first guy to have this issue :)
