Sorry, wrong parts. If I have the rear I should have the front. Let me find it and post it again.

E9 hood (bonnet) emblem – support ring

I have seen two versions of the item, which are visually very similar. The first original version was chrome plated and the second was a light alloy version.
I’m not sure if the lighter version was an E9 part but its dimensions are so similar that I suspect it was.

Both measure 90mm in diameter with an internal diameter of 84mm. Their internal diameter matches that of the curved base for the trunk (boot) unit.
Their profiles are marginally different – the original stands 6mm high and the alloy one is 5mm high. The edge profile of the chromed unit is a sharp angled profile whereas the alloy one is a gentler curve.
The original weighs 24 gms but the alloy version weighs only 9 gms.

On my car the original hood emblem was numbered 00095808114 and the trunk emblem was numbered 1811992.4. Both emblems measure 83mm in diameter.
I have not seen any NOS 1811992.4s for sale but some 00095808114s are still around and fit both the front and rear chrome rings perfectly. The external diameter of the later 0095808114 emblems is also 83mm.

FYI, the newer ones Jaymic sells/sold have the integral front ring. The front & rear bases would be excellent parts to 3D print, which I am able to facilitate if interested. Just need to borrow a front base ring to send to the scan tech in Connecticut. We have several parts in process.
