I am parting out a '73 with sunroof. The panel itself is in great shape but I have not yet opened the sunroof. I will eventually get around to it but it will be at least a week. The car is complete and the roof is perfectly closed so expect everything will be there.

I have a rusted sunroof panel that I am trying to replace. Did you take the sunroof out to see it it's OK?
 
Yes the wind deflector must have been an option because I finally removed the sunroof from my 1973 and there was no wind deflector. I am surprised that this was an option given that I had not even seen wind deflectors on later E24s... I have one of those sunroofs (rust free too).

On this note, I have a sunroof panel that is as close to rust free as possible after 43 years. It only has the slightest surface rust and is complete with inner sliding frame, chrome trims, rails, worm drive, rear guides for the tubes , shims etc etc. While I have had interest/requests for pieces, I am yet to decide if I should separate as I have seen a number of cars sold missing internal pieces so a complete sale may be better so I am not left with random pieces. Thoughts?
 
well thats the question i woud think all would sell as its all needed
i only need the alum inside rail pieces id they have a good surface as mine are pitted
 
I guess if I can coordinate the entire sale going to different people that still achieves the ideal of selling it all. Let me start a new thread in parts for sale with some photos later.
