bmw 750il leaking oil..

hi

i was in germany and drove home a 750il with oil leak from engine,, it seems it comes from left side of engine bay and put some oil on the left sylinder banks.
any ideas before i pull it apart?

The best thing to do would be to clean the engine really well, drive it a day, then check the engine for oil leaks again. There's too many things that can leak to make a guess..

Okay, let me rephrase that! Take the protective covers off the bottom of the engine area, clean it really well, drive it a day or two and check for leaks. That's the least amount of work to get you started in the right direction (in my opinion).

Pros use dye that reacts with UV light (blacklight). Run the engine, shine the light........Good Luck either way.
