3.0CS balast resistor wiring

Hi everyone,

I am trying to figure out how the balast resistor is to be wired in the 1973 3.0CS.
Currently running the 123 coil and distributor (if that matters).

Can anyone help me out?

Ballast resistor is 11
Coil 10
Distributor 12
Ignition distributor sensor 99 (on the picture is showed CSI) but for CS you should have green wire anyway

Black and Green go down to diagnostic plug
Red/Black to the starter

the ballast resistor should be eliminated or bypassed when using a 123 distributor.

Bonjour J'ai acheté un allumeur 123, c'est le modèle avec les 16 courbes d'allumage intégrées il y a un fil rouge et un fil noir sortant de l'allumeur j'ai aussi pris une bobine bosch rouge et je n'ai pas de balaste la connexion semble simple, mais je aimerais savoir comment tu aurais fait...

Yep, no ballast with 123. And preferably a bosch red coil.

The coil resistance replaces the resistor. You need a coil with 1-1.5 ohms in the primary circuit.

Being clear here- under 1 ohm resistance will be hard on a 123 unit.
Ed definitely will tell you to avoid.
