I've always liked that Aluminum block Buick/Rover V8, it makes this car appealing:

I put the same motor in my MGB except with a Buick 4 barrel intake...

I wanted to use the SU carbs and manifold that came with it. I think it would have been a great "look". But i would have had to cut or bubble the stock hood to use them and I really didn't want to do that. The aluminum V8 is 40 pounds lighter than the iron 4 cylinder I took out.
