An E24 uses a different type key and the whole mechanism is E12 E24 specific...according to realoem.

If you want an original BMW period correct key and lock - bring your money.

If you want the part # for an e24 lock like you brought up that will work -

Don help[ me understand why that lock barrel will work. the keys are different from the E9 keys and realoem shows it for later cars than an E9
