I keep finding very shallow dents, you can not rush the prep if you want a paint job that is stunning ,It takes time, after I find all the imperfections in the sheet metal, the car gets a coat of etch primer and then build primer, and then hours of block sanding to get it arrow straight, the gaps are close, I am looking for a good door hinge, one is shot, the are all the same part 1965-75 allso looking for a E28 or e24 parts car, or parts

etch primer, over the bare body, will let it bake in the 95 degree day, next 2k epoxy build primer, will let it dry 2-3 weeks and begin block sanding , still looking for parts, thank you merdad I have been on that site, finding 2000cs parts is a lot harder than the 6 cylinder version, just takes time, if anyone knows the guy that bought the project 2000cs sold on bring a trailer , it came wit a lot of spare parts , give me his contact. Bruce

a guide coat of black paint to know where you are as you sand, and the long process of block sanding with a long board and block , you need to learn the technique to get a strait car, the dark etch primer should not be sanded though to bare metal, the other colors are spot putty and low spots
