Converting Cs rear bumper to CSL look

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting the existing bumper to CSL look. If I can fill the gaps at each end (where the ruber insert goes) and finish in mat black (or wrap in matt black) - has anyone tried this?

I appreciate could get 2000 cs bumper which is hard to get in the UK

Surely a lot easier to get a GRp bumper from Zap Race or another of the many suppliers- this way you lose the weight also?

If Zaprace doesn't have it in stock, Coupeking sells a CSL bumper look-a-likes for around $250 I think (don't quote me on this). Good quality.

Now that I see all the other metal work your car is receiving, I understand why you'd want to do this!

I found a ratty 2000cs bumper for $100 and did exactly what you describe. It turned out well.

Here you go....the center trim piece is smaller on the 2000CS bumper so not quite correct.

I sanded the chrome aggressively then used an etching primer and some bondo on the dents. The inside was rusty and that's been coated with POR15.
