Hi everyone,

I am searching for one rear fog light nut. Part 63211350710

Does anyone have one lying around?

All I can tell you that the size is a M6. You can get at any hardware store and I would recommend getting one in stainless.

It is actually M5. U know you can get something similar at a hardware store. Thise are just extended lug nuts. The one I need is round, has texture and a screwdriver slot on top.

Just to hijack the topic...

Maybe one could measure one (I do not have one either) and I could ask the machinist to make several parts.

Very specific nut.

I knew I have seen it several times ...

Found one here: https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/t...30cs-rear-fog-light-license-plate-frame-sold/

@Sebs was selling one long time ago (>4years).

Here is the one I do have. Now waiting for the second one to come in.
Not all that important but I like having things correct.

Sometimes you just have to improvise.
I never throw away any small hardware because it does not take much room and you never know when you can use a nut, bolt, washer or another type of hardware.
I just cut off a piece of a bolt I had it's impossible for me to remember what or where it came from. I used it to replace an anchor on a horn button that I gave to a member.
I just looked into a parts container and there it was. Perfect size and a simple cut.

@Krzysztof ; thank for that link. clear pics indeed; here's another picture from that same link, showing the side view in case anyone else is interested. The sides have a striped 'knurl' as I think it's called, and the inside also has a hexagon.

I'm wondering why this hexagon shape is punched inside the nut?

Maybe to screw it faster during production (Allen key) as flat screwdriver is difficult on production?
