I bought it. 
It’s stamped “S 40” so I think it’s a 3.64

I didn’t know that about “S 40”.
What are the 4 numbers at base of right side?

If it is stamped 11 S 40 then it is a 3.64 ratio. I have only ever had one 40% locking factor sideloader and it came from a 2800 sedan that had several modifications to suspension, engine, etc. .
Here’s the stamping. And a view down down the vent hole. The “S 40” on the right led me to think 3.64.

the 11-38 is the set of 4 numbers you care about. this is a 3.45 diff

That is just like the differential I mentioned. It is a 40% locking factor whereas the later units were only 25%. It is a 3.45 ratio.
