What are these?

Does anyone know if these should be white or black for a '74 coupe? I just noticed the plug today in the fuse box area. I've never seen these and the E3 didn't have this.
 
Those flashlights are pretty average by modern standards without led bulbs and lithium batteries. Have seen someone convert one of these flashlights into something more useful these days - a plug for a USB power supply
 
i remember having one of these flashlights and they never worked when you needed them ... and i totally agree with @Socrates ... very mediocre light output.
 
The light in my '74 Bavaria and '74 Euro Couupe was black. And yes it was only there for the Pebble Beach judges. Eye candy.
 
Very timely. I am painting my engine bay and was wondering what that was. I guessed correctly. Anyone know where to get the orange cover? Mine was clear and really bad looking so I just painted it the car color. I had a zip tie, that I replaced, holding it in place
