Last year I switched to AGM batteries. I had been using regular batteries and buying them new, after long periods of not driving my cars I would have to charge both batteries and after 2 charges the batteries were no good. Since the switch on my 71 which sat in my driveway since last October due to a bad brake master cylinder. Last weekend I finally got the part changed and brakes bleed and when I checked the voltage on the battery it was around 12 volts. I was able to start the car (after spraying some starter fluid) without charging the battery. I found a local guy who sells reconditioned AGM batteries for $60. I have only driven my 73 3 times this year the battery has remained fully charged.
