I’ve recently volunteered to be the PNW representative for the BMW Classic Car Club of America, to help try and organize Classic BMW events in these parts. Well here’s my first attempt:
Saturday June 14, 11:00-4:00, at Dominio IV Wines in Carlton Oregon. https://www.dominiowines.com/ They’ve graciously offered to host us at their Father’s Day Cookout event. The owner has an e24. They will allows us to park in front of their production facility. Easily room for 30 cars. There’s room for overflow if needed. There will be food and beverages (beer too) available. The winery will be selling wines by the glass or bottle. No charge to attend. Let if you have questions or plan to attend.

Cheers,
John

Thanks, John! Sounds like a nice event. I suppose we RSVP as the flyer suggests? Is it capped at 30 cars?
Great questions. RSVPs are helpful but not mandatory. I’m just trying to get a handle on how many cars to expect. I’ve heard from 6-7 so far saying they plan to attend. Seattle 02 group is trying to put a caravan together. Not planning to put a cap on attendance. 40-50 cars would be a nice number but being a first time event one never knows. Winery is willing to move some equipment around so vintage BMWs can park together. The Fathers Day Cook Out is a public event from 12:00-4:00 so there will be other cars in attendance.
Hope to see you there.

Nutz - Would love to take the E9 and come down (or even take the E23) - but as it turns out, I have a conflict that day...
Take pictures!!!

John, I have a question about who can attend. I have a couple of friends who are BMW fans but do not own a vintage. They are hoping to come to this (one is a BMW CCA member). What is the word on attendance outside of vintage owners?

Mike,
I’ll be sending an email to all confirmed attendees in the next few days. Yes Dominio IV Winery is open to the public on the 14th from 12:00-4:00, so no need to be a club member or drive a BMW to attend. Vintage cars should arrive between 11:00 & 12:00, everyone else after 12:00. They’re having a Father’s Day Cookout. Source Farms food truck selling smash burgers, beer vendor and of course wine by the glass or bottle. They have a bocce ball court and corn hole(of course). Since they are hosting us at no charge, and attendance is free, we encourage all BMW attendees to patronize the vendors and/or the winery. But you are allowed to bring your own food/beverages.
Of course all post 1995 BMWs will not be able to park in the vintage group area in front of and to the side of the production building. I’ll be there early, with volunteers, to direct traffic.
I’ve circled the area:
