E24 Recaro seats for sale in the Bay Area

I saw this on CL. I realize that interior design is a very personal thing.. perhaps someone might be interested in vintage Recaro's:

Looks like they need some work at an upholster shop... I had these in my Euro E24..

seems like a lot of money for a set that needs to be recovered. i would be thinking 750 to 1000 max. the recovering will run another 1500 +/- in vinyl ... 2000 / 2500 for leather.

I agree Scott but they are pretty rare, if I was looking for a pair - I would begrudgingly pay that.

I’ve had a set of original vinyl e21 Recaro’s for a few years, just haven’t installed them. Guess I haven’t watched the market closely enough to know that a set that needs resto could bring that much.

I see slight variations (mostly the perforated vinyl center) between e21 and e24 Recaro’s, which model/version is preferred?

I get the impression they’re better than they look in the ad photos. The bolster on the one (and maybe the second) is the only real problem area that would reasonably require recovering. The rest of it I think would be fine as is after some good leather cleaning and moisturizing.
