CS rolling shell on FB marketplace (not mine)

Hmm. I'm only missing the hood in my parts stash. I'd have to buy a camper at the same time so I can sleep in it after my wife finds out..
Stay in touch and let us know where you park the camper.

Can you say "Plucked cleaner than a chicken"... I knew you could.

The price is more than fair if there isn't much rust. The rear wall of the cabin is rusty, perhaps it was stripped at some point and not protected and could just be surface rust. Pretty much need totally rusted out donor car, but those aren't hard to find. If you're going to make a CSL out of it a lot of the missing pieces are not big deal as you're going to replace them anyway. If it was a slick top I'd be looking at it seriously.

Put down a deposit on this car. The rockers are bad as expected, but both fenders seem to have been repaired in the past. I have another donor car with all the other bits and pieces but that has a lot of rust in the fenders. Most importantly I have the doors and hood from that. I hope the two combined make a good project. I have front and rear seats already in black velour.

He supposedly has a restored polaris 2000 CS as well. Im going to see that next week. If anyone is interested.

Especially interested, but not a viable buyer, just looker, in the 2000CS photos. thanks.

Mad respect, ccr2002, if you take this on! Looking at your current car list, along with this acquisition, would you own the majority of E9s in Utah?!
Having sold 2 930s (76, 79), my low mile 2002tii, taiga CSL and Ceylon CSL and my original low mile Ceylon CS, I’m feeling empty. Haha. Still have jabberjaw, the Chamonix 2.5 Don helped me get a new 3.5 engine etc, and sienna 74 3.0 CSA. So only 3! Wish I could keep them all.

Do you know what I'd give to have these sort of problems in Australia.. You just never see projects like that here. Not that I need another project...

ccr2002 - What an awesome stable of classic BMWs! I still visit family in Utah regularly but in the 13 years of living there, I never saw one in the wild. In 2019 I test drove a 3.5 swapped CS being sold at Luxe Automotive on State Street back when they were doing consignments. A very nice Chamonix car that I should have bought.
