My cap fell apart in my hands while detailing the engine bay! I went on the Scheidmann web site, and the part is $20, and the freight without vat makes it $46. Is there a source for the original part here in the USA perhaps? Thanks. (or maybe someone has one laying around their garage )

i bought one from getbmwparts.com earlier in the year. its a perfect match with the new washer bottle. agree with Don - factory cap + bottle
