For anyone who likes vintage petroliana, I have a Gilbarco gas pump for sale on BaT, check it out.

That is very cool. And for those into BMW trivia, Texaco was a sponsor of BMW racing in the 70s and was supposedly the inspiration for the red color in the BMW Motorsport stripe. So this baby is appropriate for a BMW themed garage.

That is pretty slick....
Nice to have one restored like this.

I can't count how many dispensers of this era we threw away when we upgraded our stations in the 70's and early 80's...
When vapor recovery systems were mandated in California (where the nozzle sucks the fuel vapors back into the hose when you are fueling), these old pumps had to be replaced with new ones that were compatible with those requirements.

We removed dozens of these things. Most were working just fine (as such) but... couldn't be used any longer.
Ugh... If we only knew..... LOL
(My family has been in the fuel business since the early 1970's and have had many gas stations through the years)....

GLWA - These pumps are in real demand.

Kevin, I understand that nozzles wore out and were often replaced after thee or four years. Perhaps that is why my pump has an OPW nozzle? One like mine sold for $8,500 two years ago but I am not expecting that kind of bidding. It was sold by DENWERKS, the 1600veloce of memorabilia!

Neato! Would make a great garage "nite light" like my Dual Sided Lighted BMW Motorcycle Dealership Sign & Lighted Motorized "Couples Skate" Mirror-Ball.

1600 Velocé is a very cool place. Michelle the the guys are friends of The Turtle Invitational Concours & The Great Pumpkin Rally. Tours either start there or end there. They just sold a beautiful Pur Sang Bugatti T35B https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1927-pur-sang-bugatti-type-35-grand-prix/

One of these days I will own either a pedigreed Mosheim Bugatti T35 GP or a Pur Sang for 1/5th the price. Pur Sangs are recognized by the Bugatti Club as worthy as the Molsheims & are accepted for Vintage Races. Number 1 on my short list since I can remember, circa 1971.

Chris, what a great "Part". Are you tempted Andrew? I put up a short post, mostly memories of working in a Texaco station in the early 60s.

And found this, where else, but youtube. Be sure to stay until Uncle Milti appears. Amazing and fantastic he wasn't banned.
