Probably a b34 unless 1988/89 and that is why seller leaves you guessing.
Most likely is Guy from Hardy and Beck days selling off his stash.

I just got off the phone with him, it's a 3.2 L, he wasn't sure what year it was. He had it for a Bavaria project that fizzled out. As Don noted, his name is Guy and he worked for Hardy and Beck in Oakland a while back. He sounds like a super nice guy, in the process of closing up his 30+ year automotive repair shop.
So a 633CSi motor most likely.
I will be in Longmont at Guy’s shop on the 25th if anyone needs something looked at.
