After done with S38 engine swap, I noticed that the oil sump pan was very low [about 4-5 inch off the ground] Anyone has done with this swap and found the same problem? Or should I need to use other model sump pan instead?
Thanks
Ted

Hi Ted,

That depends on what you have done with your front axle support and sway bar? And what kind of engine mounts did you use?

I have tried two different oil pans but decided to go for the e24 635 one because it gives me a bit more clearance to lay the engine a bit more ‘backwards’ with adjusting the engine mounts to have sufficient space for the radiator and cooling fan.

The first picture I share here is from the other version of the M30 engine that is also quit often used. But I ended up with the 635 version which is in height practically the same. (Last picture)

You see that the engine is at the same low level as the sway bar but I must say that it really on the edge in terms of height towards the hood. Still need to check with new engine mounts what it does (fit yes or no).
