E3's for Sale in the USA (edited title 20250917)

Here's an interesting '73 3.0s Bavaria in AZ:

40k original miles claimed...
This one appears to be an unmolested original car in a nice color combo. No engine photos is a bummer. Differences between a base Bavaria and the more rare and better optioned S models are obvious in the photos:
Standard S items like Leather, rear head rests, power windows, padded steering wheel, wood trimmed door cards, wheel arch trim, door jam lower trim, trunk lid trim, alloys etc. And it has a power sunroof.
Could be an easy restoration and well worth it.

You should be able to negotiate hard. It was a recent auction sale.

excellent point Lance ... 1400 to 9900, there's a lot of headroom there. gotta think that their estimate of 45k to 50k for restored condition is a little overestimated ... and it would probably take 50k+ of work to get it to that value.

bottom line, someone who purchased this car for 1400 had a great leg up to paint the body reasonably well and then sell the car for 25k to 30k. obviously not a concours paint job but better than Earl Scheib

I love the red interior. It's too bad the driver's seat is hammered, but a sheepskin can take care of that until/unless you feel like redoing it in leather. Once the rest of the car was nice enough to be reliable, I'd probably just leave the paint alone.

Awhile back, someone mentioned a Bavaria for sale in Tucker, GA. I was curious so I called to ask questions:

'74 Bavaria, VIN #3280190

'72 Bavaria, VIN #3101686:
Manual 4spd
109k miles
$25k
Blue w/ Saddle interior
Single driver's side Flag mirror
Purchased as part of an auto collection

If you're looking for a high quality Bav, this '72 might be worth looking at. They texted me a few photos..

those cars have been there for a long time. i remember asking if anybody was interested in them over a year ago. Tucker is about 10 to 15 minutes from the house (depending on traffic).
