That molding on the driver's side fender is holding on for dear life...

You can imagine the owner turning down offers to purchase the car for years because they planned to restore it, while it slowly became un-restorable.
 
Yikes! I wonder what the underside looks like? Gotta think this ones a goner! :(

Thread 'Worst rust you’ve seen?'

Somebody from the Facebook group posted these pics… said he rescued it from a junkyard. I haven’t been following E9s long but this looks horrific - I’m not sure there is any metal left to work with? Anyway, I couldn’t find a thread to collect photos of the worst rusted E9s. Bonus points for ones that were successfully restored.
