Here are a few pictures of my 1972 Bavaria I purchased last November. It has not been restored and I think it is in amazing condition, extremely well taken care of. Owned by one family since new. It runs and drives very well, especially considering it is completely original and stock - even has the original shocks and struts. Total miles is about 107K. Original color was Tundra, and was painted a slightly darker and more metallic color in 1985, which has held up really well. The color looks close to Alpina Green to me, but not sure. I have a trunk full of parts for it and plan to stick to stock as much as possible. Already has the twin Weber downdraft carbs, but still has points and condenser ignition. Am planning to upgrade the AC to the Sanden compressor with the parallel pass condenser, fan, and other parts as suggested here on the forum. Forum members and posts have been invaluable, and I am sure will continue to be so.

Thanks for the comments!! Agree, love all the greens with the dark tan interior. Every time I look at this car I am amazed at the condition. I had a Malaga Bavaria that I loved until someone ran a red light and T Boned me in 1987 totalling it - their insurance gave me $800 for it. My green Bavaria is in so much better shape than that one was - and that was almost 40 years ago.

Gorgeous! Love that green with the tan. From Woodbridge, I see... I grew up in Fairfax and spent plenty of time down in Woodbridge where my dad kept the boat...Occoquan area. Welcome to the forum!

I have this interior in my 71 with Malaga exterior. Mine has been thru a few wars. We need to get together, I am in Silver Spring Clarence

Sounds great - would love to get together. Are you going to make it to Vintage? I will be there as a spectator, taking the Van for the family - wife and 2 dogs.

I have two cars one is a a 71 with a 3.3 and 5 speed it came from Boston so rust is a problem, the other is a 73 blue and black auto that came from Ca. Both are driver grade cars needing tlc and time. I purchased my first Bavaria in the 80 as our family car. The 71 I have owned for 20 years it was a totaled car I got from a friend that I was able to get ix it driving again. Both cars ar fun to drive. I also have a 40 year collection of parts in three sheds and a basement/ I also have a 74 parts car

Looking forward to meeting a bunch of the forum people at the Vintage. I'll be with my son in his 88 e30 325is and my brother in his 87 535i. Hoping next year to have my Bavaria ready!
