Cruise control info?

I’d like to understand the stock cruise control system in the facelift cars but I’m not finding it in searches or owner’s manual, although I haven’t found a later 74-75 owner’s manual. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Aha, maybe it’s a dealer add-on or aftermarket. I’ll post a picture or two when I get a chance.

Cruise control... You mean idle screws on carbs? Yeah we all got those.

CC was a popular aftermarket option in the late 1970s, IIRC there were several on the market. Gotta dig out the old Roundels.

Most definitely aftermarket, Germans wouldn't call it such a name. Might be tough to identify a fault. Maybe you should just re-label it "Ejection Seat" instead.

OMG that’s a lot of bits and pieces spliced into several places, I don’t recall seeing any of those pieces so someone probably uninstalled the system. Funny they would leave that control button, maybe didn’t want to leave a hole in the under dash panel. Interesting read Chis, thanks for the link.

I had something similar in my 74 2002 until the throttle stuck at 70 on 395 heading to Mammoth back in the 70s.

Hi Guys, today I just finished installing my Zemco cruise control, and all testings on the road came up just perfect.
The command lever doesn't really look OEM, but remains discreet (photo 1). It has all modern cars functions, including 2 memories. A little LED light shines in the dark whish is helpful.
I installed the servo unit in the engine bay, in a perfect location with enough room. Took me a while bending some muck-ups before finally getting the bracket right just at the correct angle. (photo 2 and 3)
The cable from the servo pulls on a small axle that I installed on the main...
