Hi, three questions regarding my 1971 2800cs:

1. The gasket in my engine compartment is looking a little ratty. See attached photos. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

2. I see that the gasket does not run all the way up to the front of the compartment. Should it? If so, are there two separate gaskets in the compartment or is it one long one? Would love to source the right one(s).

3. Finally, years ago. I bought a full set of engine compartment stickers but never installed them. Can someone post a photo of their compartment with all the stickers affixed so I can put mine in the correct place?

Thanks.

Thank you.

from here:

@rporsche says (2017):
there are 3 long seals under the hood, which do you need? there is the one at the hinge point of the hood. there is the one at the back edge of the engine bay / firewall (has the kinks at either end) and then there is the one that wraps around in front of the windshield.

it is hard to find most of these as used pieces ... w+n sells all 3 of them new (prices in euro plus shipping)

body 41/15

11 A51711810529 rubber seal under hood front 29.66
17 A51715780175 rear engine compartment rubber seal 41.13
18 A51711810531 engine compartment rubber seal (firewall) 28.53

which you can find here:

51711810531 From Walloth is terrible
Any suggestions for sources in the USA? Not sure why I only have the one long gasket that wraps around the engine compartment on the windshield side per my photo? Where do the other two gaskets go? Can someone send a photo? Thanks.

The "Media" section of this forum is awesome for questions like these from the OP. Can usually find a picture to answer a question. I used it extensively when doing my rebuild.
