Hello!
Looking for a daily driver e9. I’ve been doing many many years of research and I have a 2002 so I’m luckily familiar with the era. My cap is roughly 50k, I am capable of doing work, I restored my 02. But hoping to find a more complete e9.

I appreciate the wealth of knowledge that is on this forum. It’s very impressive to read.

Thank you in advance for your time!

So, I spent almost three years looking for my car, and have a couple of suggestions. Given that you already own a 2002, you likely are plugged in to the local BMW community, but just in case you are not, go to local events and talk to people specifically about buying a coupe. Often people know sellers. Next, find good local BMW repair shops where people who are not as hands on get their maintenance done and talk to the owners. Sometimes they know of people who plan to sell.

Keeping a constant eye on the forum can help you get a read on the market. I ultimately found my car through this section of the forum, with some help from folks here.

And if you haven't already contacted @HBChris, you should reach out to him. He is one of the most knowledgeable coupe people out there, knows the market well, and from time to time helps people sell their cars.

Morning (west coaster) I have been talking to a well known shop in the area and have test drove a few e9s before. I have been trying to get all my educational ducks in a row before taking the plunge an I know it can be an exciting plunge if not done correctly.

I havent had the pleasure of talking to @HB Chris but would gladly pick his brain.

Hello fellow Seattle-ite! One thing you might want to consider is coming to the July 25th E9 event in Woodinville that one of the forum members is organizing. Search the forum for "Woodinville" and I'm sure you can find the relevant thread and register. Would be a good place to meet other local E9 owners
