To each his own, but as I did rewiring in my car for things which might need to be removed/changed later, I wired in new clips to make the job easier for the next person. These blocks are fine but are to me a little more work than just unclip-reclip. There are even waterproof ones for things like fog lights, etc. there are period-correct ones but they are a little hard to find. I used the equivalent of these. Just a thought

There are many kits like this available from the world’s largest online store :)
If you want to avoid Bezos, this kit would work.

The one I pictured above is a single connector and is a bit pricey. I would buy a box with different sizes - 1,2,3,4 wire. When I wired my three gauges in I made a single block with 6 pins so the whole thing can be removed as a unit. For ones inside the car I used these simpler plastic ones, for ones that could get wet I used the type linked above

If these connectors are to be found you can buy cut pieces on eBay.com easily.

I do have new sets somewhere in my stash too.
